This role will report into HFX Workforce Management Solutions and is based from our office in Letchworth, 5 days per week.

Role Purpose

The Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for leading the technical and functional aspects of the sales cycle for the HFX Imperago workforce management solution.

Working closely with the sales team, the role involves leading discovery calls and/or meetings to understand the prospect or customer requirement in more detail, designing and delivering compelling product demonstrations that clearly cover needs, address pain points and show savings and efficiencies to the organisation.

The role supports successful sales outcomes by translating business challenges into practical software solutions and acting as a trusted consultant and advisor to prospects and customers throughout the sales process.

Role Responsibilities

Sales Cycle Ownership

  • Act as the primary solution consultant during the pre-sales process.
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand business, operational and technical requirements.
  • Translate customer needs into tailored product demonstrations.
  • Support account executives in positioning the product against competitors.

Solution Demonstrations

  • Design and deliver customised, value-focused product demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain demo environments aligned to specific industries and use cases.
  • Present solutions to a range of stakeholders including HR, operations, IT and executive audiences.
  • Clearly articulate business value, return on investment and operational improvements.

Solution Design & Proposals

  • Map customer requirements to product capabilities and best practice configurations.
  • Produce solution overviews and contribute to proposal documentation.
  • Support RFP and RFI responses, including technical and functional sections.
  • Identify integration, configuration and implementation considerations.

Technical & Functional Expertise

Provide guidance on workforce management areas including:

  • Time and attendance
  • Rostering and scheduling
  • Employee self-service
  • Flexitime management
  • Absence and leave management
  • Access control
  • Clocking devices
  • Labour forecasting and analytics
  • Compliance and labour regulations

Maintain a working understanding of integrations, APIs and connections to HR and payroll systems.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the telesales, sales, product implementation, development, support and engineering teams.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on market and customer insights.
  • Maintain and improve demo environments and pre-sales materials

Personal Profile

A motivated and consultative professional with strong communication and presentation skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and enjoys translating business challenges into practical software solutions.

The role requires a proactive individual who is a self-starter, organised, detail-oriented and capable of working collaboratively across multiple teams to support successful sales outcomes.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

·  Experience with workforce management or HR systems.

·  Knowledge of labour law or compliance requirements.

·  Experience supporting RFP and RFI responses.

·  Experience working with CRM systems and sales tools.

 

·  3–5 years’ experience in one or more of the following:

  • Pre-sales or solution consulting
  • Software implementation or professional services
  • Workforce management, HR or payroll systems

·  Experience delivering software demonstrations to prospective clients.

·  Strong understanding of SaaS software environments.

·  Experience leading discovery sessions and gathering requirements.
